  6. 5-year as HCA. 2-year in College for LPN and was 3 months away from graduation but was injured at work. Broken wrist by resident led to CRPS and the loss of the use of one hand. I do have 5 years experience with Alzheimer's residents in a seniors home setting. I also do quite well with palliative care and their families. I live in Canada and really do Love it here!
I think I might also do well in a comfort care situation. I am very willing to learn and have taken a voice recognition course. Thanks in Advance Just Val

    1. Hi Justval... I also have CRPS from an extensive surgery on my elbow and wrist. So painful but now able to use arm for typing every now and then. I use a software called "Dragon" that is a voice recognition system as well. Works great for sending emails, notes, etc. I'm so sorry to hear your have this VERY frustrating and painful condition. People just don't understand the extent of it. I will pray that something will come your way.

  8. No, the college wouldn't let me because I could only use one hand and they didn't think I could deliver meds safely. They thought I would not be able to complete the clinical. Therefore : Almost Nurse

  15. Hi Donna - it is Valerie Roberts again. I know with out any certificates it is highly unlikely that I will get much attention, but where I guess I am looking is Comfort Care... Where there is such a shortage of help. Especially someone with a nursing background , I think that I would be a huge help to a facility where seniors are involved.

  16. I agree Valerie...there has to be a place for you! Hang in there!
